My Story

I named this salon after my eldest daughter, who came into the world on Valentine’s Day. Love isn’t just in the name — it’s the reason this place exists.

 

When I became a single mother of two, I had to hustle to make ends meet. I was already qualified in beauty and started by going to my clients’ homes, offering my time, my care, and my skills. From home visits, I moved into a rented room in a hair salon and had to quickly find my feet juggling motherhood with a bricks and mortar business that came with more overheads, more complexity and less flexibility than my home based business model. It was all a bit scary but I quickly got the hang of it.

 

It was my pastor who gave me the nudge I needed to believe in myself — “When are you going to open a shop in Camden?” — and so I took the leap. In September 2025, Lovelle Beauty found its permanent home, a 6-room, two-floor salon in the heart of Camden. I had to invest heavily to bring the space up to spec and have had sleepless nights wondering if I’d bitten off more than I could chew.

Seven months on, the response from the local community has meant the world to me. In March 2026, I was honoured to receive a certificate of recognition from the Mayor of the London Borough of Camden and the MP for Hampstead & Highgate — nominated by the very community I serve. It was unexpected, humbling, and a reminder of why I do this work.

 

People are especially curious about the FREE LISTENING sign in our window TV display.  I introduced it because sometimes you just need someone to hear you — and at Lovelle, our door is always open. You don’t need an appointment. You don’t even need to be a client.

 

I’ve been there myself, so I understand that sometimes you feel lonely, or drained, or you just want to put your head down. I want to give back by creating a place built on love. The kind that started with a little miracle born on Valentine’s Day, and grew into something a whole community can cherish as its own and be proud of.

In terms of what else we offer, I’ve brought together a collective of talented specialists — from facial and laser treatments to medical aesthetics, nails, lash extensions and semi-permanent makeup. Each of us sharing the same belief: that every person who walks through our door deserves to feel good, feel cared for, and leave feeling like themselves again.

 

I’m really looking forward to establishing ourselves as the beauty salon of choice for many of those who live, work or are visiting the area.
